Countdown to a Solar Eclipse and a New Step into Being

Today we have the Annular Solar Eclipse, over 11 minutes, the longest since 1992. We will not have an Eclipse of this length again for over 1,000 years. This eclipse is not visible in the U.S., the center is in the middle of the Indian ocean. The north nodal quality of this eclipse indicates that we should focus on developing new abilities and skills for ourselves.
For the U.S. this event coincides with the Mayan Tzolkin day of 11, Lamat, the Star or the Rabbit. The eclipse is just over 11 minutes, giving a parallel. May it be with the blessings of all that supports and guides us that we are truly moving into a time of grace and greater universal understanding with the qualities of Lamat.
The effects of a solar eclipse are said to be felt up to three months prior, and up to three years following the eclipse. Many belief this to be a turning point, I suppose that we must decide how to take this turn in stride.

The official time of this Eclipse is January 15 at 02:20 UT. In my calculations, this will be January 14, 2010 at 6:20pm Pacific, 9:20pm Eastern.

During this time we can turn our attention inward, take those 11 minutes to breathe in balance as the sun and the moon occupy space in alignment. Allow your body to align with your spirit, your lightness of being at peace with the aspects of self that are unseen. Let our focus be strong, filling this time with:
