Mayan Daily Insights: One Day, One Insight

Yesterday we brought in the influence of Eb, and this morning as I prepared to write today’s post I was immediately confronted with the question of why I didn’t talk about the more typical description of Eb: abundance.  My response – Abundance is about having it all, but more importantly it is about making choices.

You cannot have your cake and eat it, too.  The smug side of me, a part I would date somewhere in those pre-teen years, says, “Why are you talking about yesterday when you’re supposed to be talking about today”.  As obnoxious as she can be at times, she’s does get to the point.

Today, January 19, 2010 is 3 Ben, the Reed in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar.  Sometimes we’re all over the place, with a part of us acting logical, another calling the shots, and still other aspects bringing in our doubts, complaints, needs, desires, and whatever else sneaks in. Life isn’t about being perfect the first time, or even the last.  It’s about stretching, experimenting and laughing, and playing sometimes.  At some point we pull ourselves together.  Let’s leave that for tomorrow.

For today we have the flexibility of the Reed, and the triangulating effect of the number three.  Yes, we can have our responsible side, and our adult side, that third spot, maybe we can let ourselves have an aspect of ourselves that makes us feel a little more a part of our own life.
