This morning’s post did not come about in the usual flowing manner. In fact, as I situated myself with computer at hand I found myself looking at the blankness of the page, with reminders of how late it is. The image of the eagle was there, only not in the sense of telling me what to say. Instead it was waiting: waiting for my post, waiting for what I had to say.
I turned away to clear my head and gain greater focus. The computer beeped again, new mail had arrived, with news of another subscriber. With that I reminded myself to get the post online, someone was waiting.
Others depend on us, to be who we are, to hold on to our values. Holding up the mirror the same thing applies: we depend on ourselves just as much if not more. It is our task, our role, to be who we are and say what we have to say.
Today is January 21, 2010 is 5 Men, the Eagle in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar. Whether our audience is one, or a million one’s, someone is depending on us to carry on being the best representative of our story. Two days ago we had expansion. Yesterday was contraction. Breathe in, and out. Today is the Eagle, the value of everything inbetween.
