Just yesterday I told a friend I’ll awaken with the feeling that “It’s great to be alive, and I cannot wait to see what the day will bring me”. Day one began with a glimmer, day two grew stronger. My conscious thoughts carried only a spark of this sentiment, which leads us to the star.
The phoenix rises out of the ashes into a life of empowerment. In the midst of the breakaway we may feel the flames and the smoke masks our vision. Our attention is fully embraced within the moment and the experience. Then the smoke clears away, and we see things in a new light.
Today is January 14, 2010 is 11 Lamat, the Rabbit or Star. Sometimes our world seems to be nothing but a transition, the struggle to break free from the oppressing thought, experience, or feeling. Once we allow ourselves to pass through those moments our eyes open. We are able to see things that had always been there, just hidden from us in our self-absorbed moment.
So let us lift our heads from the ashes of yesterday, let the wind carry away the clutter, and recognize all that life has to offer us. Amazing they are, the stars that seem to go on forever.
