It Pays to Pay Attention

Yesterday we talked about the right place and the right time.  If our efforts go well there can be a tidal wave coming back at us.  This was my experience yesterday, with many calls of great potential coming from unexpected directions.

Waves do not come in and then instantly disappear; they pull themselves back into the vast ocean, beckoning us to follow.  Tempting it is to give in to that pull.  Today is Tuesday February 9, 2010 is 11 Ix the Jaguar in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar: It pays to pay attention.

Ix, the Jaguar focuses our attention on our own strengths, the ability to stand up even in the tidal wave and maintain ourselves.  This is very strongly related to using our wisdom and continuing to make the right choices so we can respond to changes in the current and not be swept under.

The number eleven supports this idea, our continued adaptation through awareness and adjustment.  There is great power in alliance, and in this case we speak of the alliance formed between the strength we hold within ourselves and the strength found in the ever changing world.  It pays to pay attention.
