Everything we find in this world has an opposite, not necessarily like opposition but complimentary to each other. If we recap what we talked about yesterday, we covered the fullness of Eb in a very yin way, that being feminine, full, depth, riches. Today we talk about Ben, the Reed, giving form, the container, in a sense allowing ourselves to be receptive to what is offered to us.
Sunday February 28, 2010 is 4 Ben, the Reed in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar. Here’s the bottom line: the reed appears to be solid, and it stands up well to the elements it faces. But on the inside there is space, not emptiness but capacity. There is space to continue, the space for more.
Today is the full moon, the snow moon. This means that the moon is in alignment in such a way to reflect the most sunlight to us in our time of darkness. It all begins with the moon receiving all the light it can receive, and when that light shines down on us there is no loss to the moon.
How receptive are we, and what do we reflect into the world around us? Is it light shining into the darkness? Do we, with our consciousness, have the ability to choose to be as full as the moon, sharing the light given to us?
