What we talked about yesterday, well, it was a little surreal and scary if you’ve ever had the experience. Sometimes when we get ourselves through a rough time it can feel like we’ve been in the middle of that free fall, or the tornado. We just want our lives to make sense, and it can take a little time adjusting to the change before we feel safe in the world again.
February 2, 2010 is 4 Manik, the Deer and the Hand in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar. We’ve had few days that may have felt a bit disjointing, first the denser physical plane of Chicchan, then the more subtle levels of Cimi.
What is the message behind all of this? We focus today on the qualities assigned to the symbol of Manik. No, not manic, just the opposite in fact.
When we go through those disjointed times, even when we feel like our life is spinning, there is always some level of support or guidance available to us. We have to trust, and breath, and slow things down just enough to see the gentle hand waiting for us.
Today is Groundhog day, and we can carry a funny little thought into today’s story: as we immerge from that place where we felt hidden away, do we turn tail and return to the darker place, or do we reach out and take that warm hand that awaits us? It’s time to get that groundhog a little more grounded!
