Ever hear the expression, “If you’re going to bake a cake you’ll have to break some eggs”? Transformation happens, no matter what we think or argue about it.
Sunday February 21, 2010 is 10 Cimi, the symbol of Death in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar. Opposites attract, and you could almost walk to the edge and say opposites support. The act of transformation may be viewed as death, but it is crucial to life that we transform all the time. It’s a shame that we do not question the transformations that turn a seedling into a flower, or a kiss into a smile.
We really are self-centered, and I mean that in any way you can interpret. We are consciousness and awareness, and of course we are here to ask the question, “How does this serve me?” We draw toward us the things we wish to embrace, and push away those things we don’t, but what do we do when something we love comes for what seems like a moment and then goes away?
Many times we cling to a moment, and sometimes live more of our lives in a memory instead of the moment at hand. Perhaps the answer is to bring more appreciation in the whole process, to appreciate the act of creating so that when that creation comes to form and quickly fades away we are so full from the building experience that there is no feeling of loss or lack.
