Mayan Daily Insights: One Day, One Insight

There is no mistake in the layout of the glyphs within the Mayan Tzolkin calendar.  Eb gives us the solidity of the road, with the substance to build upon.  Ben gives us the flexibility to move forward with agility and the give and take needed to have a sense of flow.

Today is Sunday, March 21, 2010 and 12 Ix, the Jaguar in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar.  What meaning does this hold for us?  Like any other day it is whatever we make of it.  Whether it comes in the form of a story, lesson, or interaction we always have the chance to turn twist the event into a challenge or a means for enrichment and building of wisdom.

Movement takes energy.   The world creates movement in many ways, sometimes through conflict and friction.  Are we any different?   We can look at life as an uphill battle, but we must also face the facts: it takes energy to move forward.  We use our energy to flex our muscles and take that next step.  The glyph of Ix, the Jaguar reminds us of where our energy comes from.  Is it our passion that animates us?  Is it our will?  Is it something as simple as our basic need to survive, and the primal force that drives us forward?   Likely all of the above, and somewhere in all that movement we decide what we make of it all.
