We really could just repeat what was shared yesterday, and in justification of this we do, after all, learn through repetition. The Mayan calendar does turn, giving us numerous combinations, but each glyph repeats from a different viewpoint, giving us that 360 degree look at our world inside and out.
Monday, March 22, 2010 is 13 Men, the Eagle in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar. Who else has this perspective, with the ability to fly so high yet clearly remain a part of our world? Since the beginning of time mankind has explored our own capabilities as well as the abilities of the other creatures that surround us. Surely we do not sprout wings and fly, but we can by comparision relate to the world around us, and emulate those who we admire for their expressiveness and power.
Here we have a chance to look at this place from one side of the coin or the other. We can look at the power found in so many forms in the world around us, and the abilities we would like to have but seem to lack. The other choice is to embrace our own capabilities and express our visions and dreams as best we can with what we have to work with. Then again, the Mayan calendar and the Eagle have that 360 perspective, and that gives us both what we have and what we can become. Amazing, isn’t it?
