Where does our creativity start? Is it something that forms somewhere in a vast universe, or is it as unique and personalized as we are? Today we begin a new cycle, a 13-day period that interacts with 13 different points on the Mayan calendar wheel of 20 symbols. On this first day we see the symbol of Akbal, a sign with a very internalized nature.
Wednesday, March 10, 2010 is 1 Akbal, the Night or House in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar. There is a longing to get away from the chatter of the mind, the sense of urgency, and the overwhelming chaos of our days. Turning within we can find oneness, the singularity of our spirit. We can focus on one dream, a single vision, and build upon that dream under our own terms.
The night is made for dreaming, and in my view I always saw dream time as a playground. In my dreams I could enact what I would never in the physical world. Call it a trial run, or even a dress rehearsal, there is a place where we can try on that dream before we commit to it. The night is made for dreaming, the expression of spirit that precedes our day.
