To continue our story from yesterday: “Sometimes it does not take much to move beyond the fear we feel, to push beyond that moment of hesitation. There are those things that we find intriguing, and our mind will dance within the story that is told, the music that lingers, or the illusion that defy our expectations.
So it is with the breath offered to us on this day. So often we expand as deeply as we can, only to lose every trace of the invisible presence that carried us so far. Give up? There is no chance to give up, for before we know it we find ourselves again surging forward into that next breath. Taking in as much as we can we give not a thought to the fact that in a moment we will lose as much as we gain, but life goes on, and we ask for nothing more than another chance to repeat the process again and again.”
Monday, March 29, 2010 is 7 Ik, the Wind in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar. Today we have the Worm Moon, the full moon that comes about in this early spring. Our world gives us a vast array of conditions, some unexpected, but others coming about in predictable cycles. So it is with the cycles of the moon, an occurrence that is more of an illusion than anything else.
Our breath comes in a form that cannot be seen, and our spirit resides in much the same. We feel our presence, yet when we look into the mirror what do we see but the shell. Ah, but the story goes on, and the world turns full cycle. In the days to come we will do what we must do, and see what will be seen. The things we find intriguing are so often the mysteries within our lives, and even in the light of the full moon we may still find ourselves completely in the dark.
