At some point anything we know will go to pieces. It is the natural order of life. We look at this as a bad thing, trying to avoid it at all cost. We say it is because of our love of life, but how much is that true, how much are we driven by our fear?
Monday, April 12, 2010 is 8 Cib, the Vulture in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar. This posting may seem to be pessimistic, but it is not intended to be so. There is a natural order in life. Some of our energy goes into building, some into consuming, and last but not least some into letting go. This does not mean throwing our hands up in the air and saying “to hell with it”. Our creations were not random, why should our release be any different?
When we work too hard at trying to keep everything intact there is little room for a deep breath. Sooner or later our efforts work against us. Taking the time to turn inward and focus gives us a chance to untangle our thoughts and clear ourselves of the old ways. We do so in the darkness, closing our eyes, stepping out of the worldly ways for just a moment. Tomorrow we’ll be back to the same old, same old, or will we? Maybe we’ll emerge from our meditative state with a clear head, an open heart, and a thousand new opportunities awaiting us. Fall Apart, Come Together, and let life happen.
