Finding Evolution in Rebirth

The stars are amazing.  We gaze out into the night and see an expanse of life that seems to go on forever.  We stand mesmerized by the vastness of it all, and it is by our own doing.  The stars never ask us for attention, never step boldly forward saying, “Look at me, look at me”.  Still we gaze into the night, looking for something that we cannot touch and barely see.

Sunday, April 4, 2010 is 13 Lamat, Rabbit or Star in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar.  This is the 13^th day of the 13 day cycle, the time when we carry forward the greatness we have achieved into rebirth.  Amazingly enough this is also the day of the Easter reflection into the greatness of divine presence and the impact of that brief span of time when divinity walked with such magnitude.

A day of reflection, both on the spiritual significance of rebirth and the concept that we can and do take our own steps of rebirth many times within a lifetime.  Through our consciousness and reflection we grow from our steps, bringing even greater honor to the act of rebirth and those who have given so much to teach us these concepts.

Today is day 13 in the story of the Star.  In our own spiritual presence we shine, perhaps as one of so many stars in the sky but we shine nonetheless.  Let us remember who we are, giving thought to our bigger picture, and let the upcoming days come as a rebirth, turning our wisdom into seeds for tomorrow.
