Our Inner Sanctuary

We take a turn today from the measure of the world around us, and bring focus to our inner sanctuary, a place that is beyond definition or description.  So much focus is placed on our actions and the value of our creations, and so little on the origin of those acts.  The message brought forth from our inner sanctuary is one of value in being, not in doing, and the being holds no bounds, defying quantification.  Is it no wonder that we rarely speak from our heart, let alone our soul?

Saturday, April 3, 2010 is 12 Manik, the Deer or Hand in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar.  As we evolve our acts from inspiration to idea and then to action the desired outcome is to have something that will nourish us, help us grow.  As we evolve in our inner sanctuary how do we measure what we have, let alone what we will be tomorrow.  Even though there are no words to describe our essence, or containers that could hold our totality, we can honor it nonetheless.

Today is an evolutionary day in the Mayan calendar, with the number 12 and the higher spiritual presence that we learn about with the symbol or glyph of Manik, the Hand.  What can we gain from this perspective?  Perhaps the integration between our being and our doing, creating a life that enriches both the pocket and the soul.
