It’s inevitable, after every great party there is at least some amount of cleanup. The season of growth the fall and winter comes to break down the old and transform it into the next season. The work or learning day comes to a close, and our mind drifts into the brain frequencies that allow us to process and heal.
That’s what this day is all about, giving a chance to heal on a level beyond skin deep. Today, Thursday, April 22, 2010 is 5 Cimi, Death in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar. This transitioning time goes beyond rest, it is all encompassing, deeper than appearance and higher than thought could ever take us.
Yesterday we talked about day four and the medicine wheel, when we see all directions for our journey plus some, having the support from above and below. If yesterday was supported by the earth below, today would be seen as supported by the all-that-is that we so often describe as “above us”.
Let it go, let it grow. We are natural gatherers on a body, mind and spiritual level. Being like the squirrel and stuffing our cheeks is great for that initial gathering stage but it does us no good when we reach that point of enjoying the fruits of our labor. There are parts of our harvest that we keep, and parts that should be cast away. Puffy Cheeks Doesn’t Always Serve Us, and Cimi, the Mayan glyph for this day, reminds us to take the time to see what we have and choose what part of it serves us.

I decided that I wanted to give you a poke and say great content. It’s great to see webmasters who still take the time to put high quality contenton the web, instead of just using some SPAM tool to populate their blog with garbage. I bookmarked this site and will check back often. Good luck.
