Reaching for Conclusion

Today we reach the 13^th day of the 13 day cycle.  Isn’t it ironic that it is also the final day of our current calendar month?  We think of the last day as the end of the road, a conclusion.  The word conclusion does signify an ending, but there is greater depth as well.  By definition it is also judgment, resolution, and making a decision.  I have stated before that I see the last three days of the 13 day wheel on the Mayan Tzolkin calendar as the days of evolution, but it is by choice and not nature that evolution takes place.

Yesterday we talked of the discomfort felt when we are growing.  What once fit no longer has that perfect fit.  Where do we go from here?  Friday, April 30, 2010 is 13 Ix the Jaguar in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar. Today we have a choice, in fact every day we have a choice.  What will we make of it, where will we go from here? 

Our ability to look within our own life and communicate with others gives us opportunity to look from many perspectives, and just as the light refracts on the crystal with many possible directions we too can go places we would never have imaged in the past.  The extent of our evolution into our next day’s journey is within our grasp and fully within our control.  We have reached the conclusion of this days posting, what is your conclusion?

p.s. As we near the year 2012 the Mayan calendar is said to come it a conclusion.  How will we define this event, as an ending, or a decision?  I invite your comments and stories.  Thank you!
