There is a specific order to the glyphs in the Mayan calendar. One week as I laid out the images to see how I could include them in a buffalo drum I was preparing to build I focused on the interactivity of these 20 glyphs. Soon enough I saw the alliance between them, and understood the reasoning behind their sequencing.
Life is full of stories, and stories come to life with a combination of the message and the action of the characters contained. So it is with the Mayan calendar, and so it is with each one of us. Be careful about your thoughts, and cast aside those thoughts that take you nowhere, just as you did yesterday with the message of Ik,the Jaguar. Your clarity of thought will guide you, like the lighthouse guides the ship to safe harbor.
Sunday, April 11, 2010 is 7 Men, the Eagle in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar. Thoughts are one thing, actions are another. “With the clearest of thoughts, those that help you steer clear night and day, my job becomes so much easier”, says Men, the Eagle. In a joking way this appears to be a friendly battle between Ix and Men, the signs for empowerment and dedicated action, but the story is all so true. It is a snap to get our point across when we start from a noble place. It is a snap to make choices that move us so easily in the right direction, and it is a snap to do what shows the world that we say what we mean, whether it is in our business, work, play, or even in our sleep.
