You know that funny little smile that lingers when you are feeling alive and awakened through connectivity? Many times we express this wondrous feeling in a new relationship, but I have had many times in my life when I find myself in the midst of that smile, and I cannot attribute it to anything other than just being alive.
Today is 2 Ik, the Wind in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar. Two is a very relational number, so lets stay within that theme. When we awaken, whether it is in the morning or awakening to our own thoughts, it is a relational experience. There is the sense of self within the world. What better feeling to experience than being in the here and now.
It seems trivial, doesn’t it, that silly little smile. But without it how much of the day goes by unnoticed? How much of our life goes by without recognition of our heart-felt experience? I know it is easy to get caught in the stories, forgetting why we are here in the first place. The wind may not be seen, but it can be felt. Remember to awaken, with a smile.
