The layout of the Mayan Calendar is an interesting one, with patterns and cycles woven throughout. It’s all interconnected you know, that in order to build to the point of success we must begin with a strong foundation and maintain our focus on the dream every step of the way.
Let’s divert for a moment and talk about the human body. It is amazingly well contained yet surprisingly flexible. We have a combination of bones and muscles working together that allow us to bend and move, and that ability allows us to make the world what we have made it today.
We are not designed to hoard. Even those who have achieved wealth still use some portion of what they have to get the things that sustain them: food, clothing, transportation, entertainment. There is a natural state of flow. Look at something as simple as the breath, it is the constant exchange that gives us the best results.
Today is 9 Cib, the Vulture in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar. What I have to say can be summed up into one statement: it takes finesse to hold ourselves together and at the same time let things fall away as a natural part of living. We are taught to appreciate others, to care for our belongings, and to savor our victories. Let’s get down to the nitty gritty of it all: we consume food, and life for the life-force energies it contains. Food=nutrients, air=oxygen, life=experience. Today is the sign of the Vulture, not to take away life, but to help us transform what is here to serve us so we can move on with living in a more fulfilling way.
