The past several days, for me, has been balanced with clear starry nights. It is not often I get away from the city and have opportunity to see the stars in all their glory. Today is 1 Lamat, the Star in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar. When I awaken in the middle of the night it is to a flow of information, very much like an RSS feed downloading into my conscious awareness. The story of this day began its journey several days in advance.
This is day one of a new 13 day cycle. What exactly is One? Is it a beginning? Is it singularity? Coupled with the Star influence a beginning is anything but new, or isolated. How long has the universe spent expanding, creating the template on which we create?
Carry this thought into your own life, and you will find new projects are always preceded with thought, intent, and then carried into action. There is no Oliver walking up the middle aisle at the orphanage, asking for ‘more’, as if we begin with nothing. We begin with everything, and then we transform it into something new. There is our newness, the day one of our cycle. We are already so full of life that we cannot help but express that fullness in our creations.
The stars are a symbol for the universal energy we speak of so often, the infinite possibilities. In our world today we have so much that is ready-made, from our clothing to our furniture, even our foods. For such an empowered, intelligent group we as a society are in effect biting off our own foot by creating a situation that diminishes our venues to create!
Today is a day to focus on your own creativity, your ability to transform thought into action and action into tangible. Today is that day. Worry not if at the end of the day you have nothing to show for it. Your hands can hold more than objects, they can touch, feel, and perceive.
