No matter how we see it, man is designed to serve. Those who are accomplished in their lives will agree with this statement, for those are the times when we feel the greatest sense of accomplishment. The act of service gives us opportunity to act with purpose but not agenda.
The question is who or what we serve. Today holds the combination of glyph and tone of 8 Men, the Eagle in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar. On the number side we have not yet reached our destination, but we are well on our way, and to let go now would be a loss of our efforts and the energy we have invested.
Who or what do we serve? I cannot help but bring in a very generic reference, but here goes. For one to stand up for another and serve them in a soup kitchen, knowing that they themselves have what they need, and giving their time and energy in support of others, that is noble. This is not the only time or place to give. We can give by listening to the hopes and dreams of others. We can serve by connecting one persons mission to another persons resources.
These examples work because we are serving a part of self that can receive, the part of ourselves with honor and purpose. We do no one any good by giving our pearls to the swine. Who or what do we serve? The greater good, the higher self, a vision with purpose, a dream that fulfills.
