As we grow we become more empowered both in body and in thought. I believe it is the intention of our higher power that we also mature or evolve on other levels: emotionally we learn to silence our feelings, but in the evolution of that aspect we learn to be silent and at peace within ourselves.
To achieve this state of being many things must take place. We must make choices that lead us in the right direction. We must walk away from those things that distract without adding any value to our lives. Some might say this sounds boring and too confining. I say it gives us more, not less.
Today is 3 Cib, the Vulture in the Mayan Tzolkin Calendar. Today I will call this the ‘breakaway day’. We create perceptions of ourselves and our interactions with our world. In doing so we create what we call reality or our ‘truths’. Many of us live our lives in this place, holding the same concepts for a lifetime. Sometimes we reach a point in our evolution when we must break free of a part of ourselves, and by that I mean something that we believe is a part of ourselves.
Today the focus is on seeing beyond our expectations. Our world is only as big as we make it. Our vision is limited to a certain band of frequencies, but our mind filters far greater than the limits set by our eyes. Cib, the Mayan glyph for this day, reminds us to look beyond what we believe. This is not abandonment of what we know, but an expansion of our soul.
