We have an amazing gift in our ability to see things as we choose. Perception could be seen as an extension of our free will, letting us come to our own conclusion and create a world within so that we can learn and experience without interfering too much in the worlds of those around us.
That said, so much of what we perceive is illusion when we think we are alone or separate. We live in a world with millions of others. We live in a universe that goes far beyond our own world. This world, and the universe is an interactive one as well, with expansion and contraction giving us that push and pull, beckoning us to react.
Today is the day of the glyph combination of 2 Lamat, the Star in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar. Doolittle had it right with the Pushmi-pullyu, that within us we have those opposing forces. We look at our yin-yang world and no matter where we look there are those opposites, always giving us a chance to make choices. With every choice we have the opportunity to awaken, to give conscious thought to our actions.
The universe, if we want to call it that, supports that yin-yang experience as well. No matter where we turn there is something to interact with. Being in our own little world is not always what it appears to be. The more I focus on this concept this morning the more I appreciate it, that the world is there for me, and visa versa.
