There is no question that life is rich with many opportunities to create. Those creations can become huge, appearing much bigger than anything thing else in life. Our creations can become bigger than we are, bigger than the creator.
The key is to maintain a clear perspective, but how do we go about it? Today is 6 Cimi, the symbol for Death in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar. Am I implying anything like the expression, “If you can’t control it, kill it”? Not in the least! It is worthy of noting and correcting these misconceptions: it is possible to maintain without throwing out the whole kit and caboodle.
Creativity run amok: we are powerful creatures, in though and in action. We can churn out ideas, observations, possibilities, directions, and wrestle with the outcome. We can take a course of action then spend every waking hour and every ounce of our energy trying to maintain that course. Why do we take directions that we know are not the most productive, and fight to maintain it even without positive results? Is it our expectations? Is it a fear or belief that our world will unravel unless we continue to feed the beast?
The Mayan calendar does not allow us to remain in the ethers, purely in the state of light. There are times when we must turn our attention inward, clearing ourselves of the remnants of our own creations. This is the power given to us by the symbol or glyph known as Cimi. Death is transformation, not the end.
