We live very transitional moments, with expectations, and a sense of either wonder or disappointment with the way things actually turn out, depending on which way reality turns. This is a wonderful part of life that we do not get exactly what we think we will get, for that place where we stand and wait is the place where we find hope.
If we were to really measure every little step of the way, the sweat from our labors, would the outcome ever outweigh the cost? It’s a good thing that our measuring system, or the values we place on our steps along the way are not all valued the same.
Today we have reached a combination on the Mayan Tzolkin calendar of 6 Cauac, the Rainstorm. As I type this posting I have seen this concept unfolding before my eyes, and see the correlation to my own life in days gone by. I see how easily we can get trapped clinging to the false values we place through our ego or stubbornness, finding examples in my own life from my childhood days. How could any thought that we carry in our mind outweigh even a breath of real life? Could a fantasy ever be as valuable as a waking experience?
Today is 6 Cauac, the Rainstorm, and we could see this as the point of time directly in-between the question and the answer, or the dream and the awakening. It is the time we cast aside the petty little details until we hold in our hand only the true reason we do anything in life. The rainstorm helps us find our clarity so we can appreciate the real things of value and beauty.
