Yesterday we talked about the thirteenth day and using sense instead of superstition. It is only logical that we step forward from a place where we have the most wisdom, at least as much as we can by being in one specific point in time, and take that next step with as much grace and common sense as possible. If we were to grow only in body but not in mind, or build based only on what is in front of us and not by some plan, then it would only be by a miracle that anything would turn out right.
Today is day 1 with the glyph of Ix, the Jaguar in the Mayan Tzolkin calendar. The jaguar is successful because it knows what it is capable of doing, and uses its resources only as needed. There are times when that strength must be employed: in times of danger or when hunger returns. Wreckless use of power is seldom seen in the animal world. So why is it that man, apparently the evolved species, so often misuses and abuses its power?
Today the message from 1 Ix, the Jaguar is this: it is best to move forward first in thought and then in action.
