Yesterday we talked about testing the waters, meaning that sometimes we have to let go to see if everything holds together. This is a great test as well of our inner beliefs as well, a way to ferret out any uncertainly or fear and shift out of those old buried patterns into a more secure new way of thinking.
Looking back again at yesterday we focused on the enjoyment of life, getting back in touch with our passion and pleasure. We can look at it as reconnecting with our inner child, though not too many people would bring that viewpoint into the business world, but if you are not enjoying what you are doing why do it at all? Truly successful people have tried to tell us it’s not about the money, it’s about the passion, money just follows like a puppy dog attracted to the rich taste of passion.
Well, anytime we take our hands off the steering wheel we have to put them back again. This is the tone and glyph combination from the Mayan Tzolkin calendar for today, the message of 6 Eb, the Road. It’s remembering where you are going and not getting lost in the intoxicating effects of pleasure. I think this is why so many of us let our supply of pleasure run a bit dry, is that fear of getting sidetracked by our own depth of really enjoying the moment. Taking our hands of the wheel for that moment can be risky, the wheel could turn wildly in any direction, but sometimes we just have to do it so we can discover how true we are to our direction. It’s a matter of realizing that we make choices, and now is the time to look at that fork in the road and reaffirm our commitment to our path.
