This past week I have driven the Mayan Daily Insights deep into the world of business. That’s what’s important, isn’t it? That’s where the power is, the division of assets and production of things that give us what we desire: money. That concept has been driven into us for so long that most of us believe it to be a truth, or the only truth.
The world is changing. New pathways are forming, and a few are able to follow those pathways, but it’s not easy. It’s challenging enough to be successful in the current system, let alone shifting over to a new way of doing business, but it can be done.
Let’s delve into the concept presented today as we turn the wheels of the Mayan Tzolkin calendar to 8 Ix, the Jaguar. The Jaguar has been a symbol for power since ancient times. It’s no coincidence that there is a car named after this amazing symbol, and its not very far leap to associate the Jaguar with money and power.
Today the message goes a little deeper. Yesterday we talked about the Reed, being flexible enough to find new uses, new pathways, and that putting those new ideas to use we’ve built many things in our world that empower us beyond our physical strength. Today we talk about the use of that strength, how well we direct our attention and energy.
Many of us are working very hard to build something new and adding our own unique touch to our creation. We have our product or our message to bring to the world with the intent of empowering others in one way or another, and empowering ourselves as our message is accepted. There we find the real driving force, that we offer something that will empower others, and that can be something as simple as saving them a few minutes with a single serving coffee maker, or a book that enriches their creative mind.
The simple thought or message for today, given the influence of 8 Ix, the Jaguar, is to remember why we empower or enrich ourselves. Remember the underlying purpose that counts. Going back to the Reed, the purpose for the boats was to allow the people to travel greater distances so they could discover new things and make even more new inventions. The people did not idolize or serve the boat, the boat served the people. Do not let your message be your master. Ask the simple questions like ‘how does this serve me’ and if it not longer does, let it go. In the business world the VCR was once a big money maker. Today it is not so great. Knowing where to apply your energy, and keeping perspective on what you create is the key to success.
