Our hands are great tools, are they not? We can give hugs, and if we focus on our hands and the love we express it is possible to feel the flow of that love as the warmth accumulates in our palms and fingertips, ready to be shared and given so freely.
Our voice is not our only means of communication. How often do we speak through our hands, gesturing to stop, or come forward; giving direction; giving the thumbs up of approval; and unfortunately giving a sign of disrespect. Each of our gestures when translated into words, would take great explanation, but the gesture itself is simple. Simple can translate into soft, easy, to the point.
Today in the Mayan Tzolkin calender we’re given the combination of 8 Manik, the Deer or the Hand. There we have it, the hand. Our hands are amazing communication devices. They are sensitive to touch and are able to move with great dexterity. Our eyes are the window to our soul, but our hands are windows to the heart. Ask any healer, they will tell you this is so.
There is no great message in today’s post, or maybe I should say there is nothing complex. We’re back now to the idea of simple. What would our lives be like if we treated everyone and everything with the concepts contained in today’s glpyh of Manik, reaching out a hand in a simple compassionate way? Simple messages are the way to reach the heart of the matter.
