What a volatile expression: ”What in the world were you thinking?” That expression is often used to snap someone back into reality, tell them to “get real”, let go of those pipe-dreams and be realistic.
Today’s glyph and tone is 6 Caban, the earth. Here’s the interesting thing about this world: we have everything we need right here, so in a sense we could say there is nothing new, but on the flip side we never know what to expect. The weather can turn, with snow in July. A once healthy soil can turn dry and barren. Something that was insignificant, even unseen can unleash amazing power when used respectfully, like a turbine in the river producing electricity.
What in the world were you thinking? Plenty. We’re here be tried and true, repeating things over and over in our scientific way to get the same results. Then we know something is real, right? We’re also here to create, test the waters, dream, and expand on what we already know. What in the world were you thinking – that covers a vast array of possibilities, doesn’t it?
Today’s tone and glyph, 6 Caban, the Earth: This world is rich in a sense with so many possibilities, and it is our paradise, though we don’t always look at it in that way. Part of that paradise is the freedom to live our lives as we choose, see things in our own way, play the part that gains our experience, and so on. The kaleidoscope may seem like a mixed-up bunch of shapes and colors, but it contains every color of the rainbow.
