Yesterdays post focused on the tiny singular drop of water, the quality of Cauac, the rainstorm. Gathered together those drops can be an unstoppable force. Isn’t it amazing, we can do some impressive things when we let ourselves gather into a collective space.
Looking at the Mayan Tzolkin calendar, today we focus on 2 Ahau, the Light. “Where two or more are gathered, there I shall be” is a well known verse, but what is its meaning? The light comes to us apparently seamless, streaming so continuously. We may think that it is stoppable, that something can stand in its way and cast a shadow, but even the shadow is filled with light.
Looking again at the rainstorm, that single drop of water can be a vessel for that light. We may think we stand alone, but do we ever? We think that we are solid, but quantum physics proves that to be wrong, showing us that we are mostly empty spaces with only a fraction of matter. Our body is also at least 50 percent water – doesn’t it stand to reason that we too would be permeated by that light, just like the drop of water?
Where two or more are gathered.. it is not always about collecting with other people, although that is a powerful statement. We can gather in our own thoughts, in every step we take. When we gather together ideas in a collective sense just look at what we can create.
Even now, think of what we do by collectively reading about something so simple as 2 Ahau, the light. Each reader adds to the mix, and the more people who gather with honor the stronger that honor radiates. Let us pray, sing, dance, or just breathe in that collective vibration of life, the light.
